Chapters 16 through 20:

As Rahim talks about Hassan, the story is bittersweet. Hassan is happily married with a baby on the way but Ali is dead. When hearing about Baba's death, Hassan crying shows how much he cared for Amir and Baba. Since Hassan's first child is a stillborn, Hassan and his wife Farzana try again and have a boy named Sohrab. While Hassan helps Rahim with taking care of Baba's house, he continues to live in the "servant's" house. This shows me that Hassan has the utmost respect for Baba, which is really amazing after all those years. Chapter 17 is really shocking/depressing for me. Hassan and Farzana were shot by the Taliban and now it is up to Amir to save Sohrab from an orphanage. Amir has a lot of responsibilities while in Pakistan now. I think Sohrab can be the son that Amir and Soraya will never have due to their infertility issues. As for who Hassan's real father is, I know it is Baba since him and Ali were so close and Baba did a lot for Hassan. What caught my attention the most out to Amir's visit with Farid and Wahid is sticking the money under the mattress before he leaves. Although he may be a "tourist" in his own country, he still knows how difficulty it must be living in the conditions they are put under. Learning that Sohrab has been taken by a Taliban is disheartening but at least they know that he will be at Ghazi Stadium the next day and have a chance of finding him.
