Blog #2 - The English Patient

Chapter One

When hearing the story of how the English patient was burned makes me feel very unpleasant inside. I always feel bad for burn victims; I guess it’s just because a person gets so deformed by it that it upsets me. I think it was nice that the nomads in the desert decided to help him and care for him once he fell out of the plane. I got a sense of how bad he was wounded when he said that they had to help chew his food for him.
My first impressions of the nurse were that she was very quiet and did what she needed to do in order to survive. I didn't get any emotion from her description. She just seemed very blank.
